The North America Chinese Entrepreneurship Competition and Talent Summit is the largest startup competition in the United States catered towards Chinese. The summit brings together cutting edge technology, talent, investors, and access to the Chinese market through close connections with Mainland China.
Since its conception, over 1,000 startups have applied and 100 have been connected to Suzhou, Nanjing, Zhangjian, Yangpu, Hangzhou, Zhongguancun, Tianjin, and other technology centers in China.
During the 3rd Competition in January 2013, six contestant teams raised over $1M respectively. A startup that converts algae into biofuel raised $2M and set up their headquarters in China. Other companies included electric cars, mobile security, biometrics, and two biopharmaceutical companies also of which received large amounts of investment.
North America’s Chinese Startup Competition has evolved into the leading platform for Chinese entrepreneurs to land investment and gain access to China. In 2013, they worked closely with Suzhou to set up a mentorship program for extraordinary entrepreneurs, with ten serial entrepreneurs and investors who joined to help startups raise capital and expand into the Chinese market.
Mission: Drive innovation, provide entrepreneurial support, seek investment opportunities, and build a bridge for global entrepreneurship.
TEEC Angel Fund’s 4th annual entrepreneurship competition is open for applications starting November 8th, 2013, undergoes two rounds of screening, and the conference will be held January 5th, 2014 at the Santa Clara Convention Center (http://www.santaclara.org/conventioncenter/)

US-China Association of High-level Professionals (UCAHP)
UCAHP is a non-profit organization started by successful Tsinghua Entrepreneurs to promote entrepreneurship, which serves as a platform for investors and entrepreneurs, and bridges cross-pacific collaborations between the US-China.
UCAHP uses its diverse group of incubators, angel investors, and business mentors to help companies successfully expand into China. Recently UCAHP helped more than over 100 startups find funding and high-tech development parks.
Tsinghua Entrepreneurs & Executive Club (TEEC)
Tsinghua Entrepreneurs & Executive Club (TEEC) is an organization founded by Tsinghua alumni to promote innovation and entrepreneurship in high tech industries with currently over 300 members. Among the nearly 100 companies founded or managed by TEEC members, more than 20 went public successfully on both national and foreign stock exchanges. The majority of the companies founded by TEEC members have received funding from well-known VC/PE firms, with investment surpassing more than $1.6B. Those that have gone public have a total market value of more than $16B. The private equity funds started or managed by TEEC members are worth more than $1B.
Peking University Entreprenuership Club
Peking University Entrepreneurship Club was founded by Peking University’s Alumni Association, New Oriental Education Groups Chairmain – Mr. Yu, and eight other Peking University alumni in order to create socially responsible businesses. Since inception, they have successfully built a community to nurture the development of socially responsible entrepreneurs through the support of experts and scholars alike to maintain Peking University’s tradition of excellence.
Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association (HYSTA)
Hua Yuan Science and Technology Association (HYSTA) was founded in 1999 by a group of industry executive and serial entrepreneurs. HYSTA aims to promote entrepreneurship and career development among Chinese professionals in Silicon Valley, and to facilitate networking and exchange of business ideas among successful Chinese entrepreneurs and executives in Silicon Valley and Mainland China.
Silicon Valley China Angel
Silicon Valley China Angel (www.startup21.org) is a non-profit organization dedicated to bringing exceptional US based entrepreneurs to China and serves as an investment platform between the two. By building a strong network of Chinese investors (angel investors, strategic partnerships, incubators, venture capital firms, etc), HYSTA connects early-stage startups with Chinese capital through their robust network.
